ORIGIN:

The wine is prepared entirely from grapes of Merlot, Syrah and Feteasca Neagra, varieties coming from the company’s own vineyards located in Sahateni (Dealu Mare, region) - Romania, the seventh largest country producer of grapes in the world.

WINE MAKING PROCESS:

Following hand harvesting at full ripeness, during the second week of September (average sugar 25,7 °Brix) , the grapes were destined and slightly crushed.  Fermentation where conducted in stainless steel closed tank with gentle cap irrigator, at 26-29˚C for 14 days.

TASTING:

Ripe red & dark fruits taste, completed by some sweet vanilla and spicy hints; mild tannins are well integrated into the firm but elegant structure; silky on the palate, followed by long lasting finish. It is recommended to be served at 16-18°C, alongside with spicy foods, roast duck and turkey, spicy Italian sausages, smoked ham and chorizo, meatloaves.

DETAILS

Napareuli is a historical wine village located in the upper part of Alazani river valley in Kakheti. The dry red wine named after this village, Napareuli is made from selected Saperavi grape variety cultivated in this micro zone, which is one of the most famous appellations of Saperavi.

WINE MAKING PROCESS

We pick the selected grapes at 20-22% of sugariness and 6-8 titratable acidity. After removing the stem and de-pressing, fermentation proceeds at a 23-28°C in stainless steel reservoirs. We add the pure culture yeast. Following the 12-15 day maceration, we move the wine into 300 L French oak barrels, for 9-12 month ageing. The wine is further aged in stainless steel reservoirs. The subsequent ageing takes place in the bottles.

ORIGIN: Tămâioasă Românească, described by Jancis Robinson as the ‘frankincense grape’ due to its aroma, is one of the ancient varieties of Romania. Romanians love the versatility of the grape, it can be fermented dry which produces amazing results or up to and over 150g/l of residual sugar. A version of Muscat Blanc a petits grains, the variety naturally sweet does exceptionally well in the Dealu Mare region with its stony soils. One to watch! WINE MAKING PROCESS: The grapes are destemmed and slightly crushed, followed by 6 – 8 hours of skin contact in the closed press at 8˚C. Clear free run juice has been inoculated with neutral yeast and alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel during a period of 14 days at controlled temperature of about 13-14°C. This is a desert wine, made from late harvest grapes only in the favorable years of sugar accumulation and noble rot setting. TASTING: Bright yellow color, with an intense aromas of lovely aromatics, roses, basil and yellow melon. Delicious honey sweetness, rich and balanced by good acidity. It is recommended to be served at 6-8°C, along with foie gras, pastry and sweets or alongside with Asian food.

Tibaani AOC Amber / Orange Wine 2017

The vineyards of Tibaani, Sighnaghi region, Kakheti, are considered to be perfect for the traditional Kakhetian qvevri amber wines. The black and clay soils of this area ensure the growth of a very special Rkatsiteli, from which we make the wine full of body and strength.

WINE MAKING PROCESS

We pick the selected grapes at 22-24% of sugariness and 7.5-8 titratable acidity, squeeze the grapes and move them into the qvevri with stems. We add the pure culture yeast and knead 3 times every 24 hours as it is fermented. After the fermentation is complete, wine is left on skin before February-March.
