ORIGIN: Fetească Regală (or Royal Maiden in English) is the Royal grape exclusive to Romania. It is a cross between two grape varieties – Fetească Albă and Grasă de Cotnari and again originates from Transylvania. Regală has the aromatic quality of Fetească Albă but is a weightier grape with more body.

The Regală also has a citrusy edge to its character with lots of orange and lemony fruit. Fetească Regală works well with oak and can produce bigger wines with a slightly spicy finish.

WINE MAKING PROCESS: The harvested grapes were destemmed and given a soft pressing. The must was chilled to a temperature of 10° C to favour a natural static settling of impurities. After 48 hours the must went into stainless steel fermenting tanks, where it fermented at temperatures held to a maximum of 18° C and was then held in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The preparation of the wine for bottling in small lots helped conserve freshness and fragrance.

TASTING: Pale yellow with green tinges, this wine has a bouquet of fresh fruits, green apple in particular. Well balanced, fresh and semi-aromatic dry wine. It is recommended to be served at 8°C. Ideal with white meat dishes, fresh seafood or as an aperitif.

The Legend of Dracula begins in 1431, in Sighisoara, Transylvania, a region known for the picturesque beauty of the Carpathians.

Dracula makes a vow in order to become immortal and therefore becomes the most famous vampire who inspired hundreds of writers and directors.

Asleep for several centuries, Dracula returns to life, to tell his real story and to seek his lost love.

VINEYARD: Dealu Mare vineyards make up the most compact Romanian viticulture area (about 14,500 hectares). The climate is temperate continental with cold winters and hot summers, with average annual solar radiation of 125 kcal/cm², average annual temperatures of 10°C heat amplitude monthly average of 24°C and an absolute magnitude of extremes over 70°C. An average of 2200 sunshine hours from which 1635 are in warm semester. The annual amount of warm and heat is over 4000 degrees. Annual rainfall is around 500-550 mm mainly in winter-spring period.

WINEMAKER: With over 25 years of experience gained in Italy and Romania, Fiorenzo Rista, had done a great job participating in the establishment of the very much appreciated local premium wines. Now he creates great wines for Antinori family which invested here in Romania because they found in Dealu Mare vineyards similarities to Tuscany, one of the most famous wine regions in Europe and in the world. The Antinori family has been making wine for over six hundred years since Giovanni di Piero Antinori became part of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385.
