TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
- Type: Dry
- Alcohol: 13,5%
- Color: White
- Oak aging: No
ORIGIN:
The philosophy of Zghihara wine is a special variety, a wild noble whose strong personality and stingy nature, settled in the land of Huși thousands of years ago, has perfected a wine that stands out from the classical patterns. MAKING PROGRESS: Grapes were harvested by hand with great care, at a sugar content of minimum 195g/l., then destemmed without crushing. The grapes were cooled to a temperature of 10°C and then macerated in the press for 6-8 hours. The must is obtained in a controlled atmosphere using a short, low-pressure pressing cycle. Decanting of the must was done gravitationally, cold. The must was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the young wine obtained was kept on fine lees storage until March to gain structure and volume. TASTING: Pleasant but discreet aromas of green apples, lime, and gooseberries. Lively, fresh, and fruity, with light hints of marjoram and a mineral aftertaste, this is your everyday wine. Serve well chilled (8-10⁰C), good paired with white meat poultry, preferably partridge or fish, seafood.

2022 wine, 750 ml, Cramele Recas, DOC, Dry, Feteasca Neagra, Red Wines, Romania
Castel Huniade Feteasca Neagra
0 out of 5
Year: 2022 Variety: Feteascã Neagrã Alcohol content: 13.39% Appellation: DOC Recas Classification: Dry
Viticulture and Vinification
Feteascã Neagrã grapes are fermented on skins for 5-7 days. They are pressed while still slightly sweet and the final amount of sugar which remains later ferments out off-skins. The timing of pressing is used to control the quality of the tannins extracted into the final wine. Too much time would leave a wine without fruit and dried out, too little, and some of the vital important flavour and color could be left behind in the skins.Tasting notes
Light lavender red, good limpidity. Dense aromas of slightly dried plums (glazed), sour cherries. Medium attack, a velvet wine with good acidity, reduced and pleasant tannins and slightly bitter finish that helps salivation and resuscitates the aromas on the tongue. We recommend this wine with:
Semi-hard cheeses, Romanian snacks (meatballs, sausages, stuffed aubergines), chicken ragout, Moldavian tochitura, roasted or grilled pork, plum dumplings.Serving temperature: 14°C - 16°C

Year: 2017 Variety: Sauvignon Blanc Alcohol content: 12.10% Appellation: DOC Recas Classification: Dry
Viticulture and Vinification
Good Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by zesty green flavors combined with tropical fruit notes. This is highlighted by the way the grapes are harvested for this wine. A part of the vineyard is harvested early for the crisp green style, a further part at mid maturity for a balanced component and then a final section is held until later to develop tropical/passion fruit characters to finish the blend. In the winery the processing is simple. Some parts are given some skin contact before pressing to extract more richness from the grape skins. All parts are fermented cool in stainless steel. Early bottling helps to seal in the freshness.Tasting notes
Straw yellow with greenish tints, good limpidity. Freshness with vegetable accents, black locust flowers, ripened fruits and melon, on a mineral background. Minerality confirmed by taste, sustained by good acidity, citric tint (lime), passion fruit. The well integrated alcohol sustains the structure of a wine marked by good taste dynamics and tonic notes. We recommend this wine with:
Green cheese, ewe-cheese, fish salads, caviar salad, Caprese salad, Bulgarian salad, chicken or turkey, pasta with pesto sauce, oven dishes (turkey, partridge), fish and desserts (tarts) with apricots, pears, apple pie.Serving temperature: 5°C - 8°C

Selene Chardonnay

Year: 2023 Variety: Chardonnay Alcohol content: 13 % Appellation: DOC Recas Classification: Dry
Viticulture and Vinification
Sole Chardonnay comes from selected parcels of our best grapes. As befits a premium product, extra attention is applied to all facets of the production. Fermentation is partially in new French oak barrels. These are carefully hand stirred after fermentation to maintain the yeast in suspension and allow extraction of additional palate weight. This process is know as battonage and is employed three times per week until the desired flavour profile has been achieved. Oak selection is important in this wine and a combination of different toasting intensities are used on the oak to incorporate another level of flavour complexity.Tasting notes

Sole - Sauvignon Blanc
0 out of 5
Year: 2023 Variety: Sauvignon Blanc Alcohol content: 12.5% Appellation: DOC Recas Classification: Dry
Viticulture and Vinification
Sole Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes at the ripe end of the spectrum. Fruit selection and winemaking are aimed at achieving a fuller style of Sauvignon Blanc with notes of complexity. Oak is not a part of this wine, which relies on grape quality rather than interventionist winemaking. Some on-skins cold maceration of the crushed grapes is carried out because much of the flavour of this grape is located in the skin. The added intensity translates from the juice into the finished wine.Tasting notes
Pale yellow, slightly metallic, with green tints. Grassy (hay and woodbine), flowery (black locust, sambucus) and slightly citric aromas. Round, lively, balanced, fresh acidity and taste impact. We recommend this wine with:
